The NEMA 17 (42mm) fixed through shaft type hybrid stepper motor is a captive linear actuator featuring an integrated anti-rotation spline mechanism that ensures pure linear extension and retraction without screw rotation. The nut is built into the motor rotor, and the spline prevents the screw from turning — converting rotary motion into linear push/pull action. This design requires no external guide rails or anti-rotation devices, making it exceptionally compact and easy to integrate. With optimal stroke lengths under 50mm, this actuator is ideal for 3D printer Z-axis positioning, laser focus adjustment, pick-and-place nozzles, valve actuation, and precision clamping mechanisms where space is limited and reliable short-stroke linear motion is required.
Structure Type: Fixed Through Shaft (Captive) — Screw extends/retracts linearly, does not rotate. Built-in spline prevents rotation. Best for short-stroke, space-constrained applications.
